Abstract
In this paper, we propose an FPGA implementation of the Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Inference (IT2FI) system for sensor network nodes in wildfire monitoring. The proposed system utilizes carbon dioxide concentration, humidity and temperature as input values from sensing device to obtain numerical values for the degree of danger which considers the signs of fire and its occurrence. These values provide an indication of whether sensor data should be transmitted or not, thus avoiding redundant communication for efficient power and bandwidth consumption.
