Abstract
By means of a long-length test-bed with a hundred of Dispersion Managed Fibers (DMFs) and fully-engineered EDFA amplifiers, commercial-use feasibility of 64 × 10Gb/s WDM transmission systems with over 11,256 km of trans-Pacific distance has been confirmed with start-of-life Q value margins greater than 3 dB.
