Abstract
The paper describes a non-intrusive pyrometric technique for the measurement of the gas turbine inlet temperature (TIT). The proposed technique relies on the detection of the radiation emitted in a narrow wavelength band by the CO 2 molecules present in the combustion gas. Preliminary results relevant to tests carried out on a test rig will be presented.
