Abstract
This article shows a systematic review to analyze the existing assistive technologies that help to develop the autonomy of people with visual impairment. In order to obtain information and determine the techniques used, articles were analyzed in detail in specific databases that cover the engineering area such as (IEEE Xplore and ScienceDirect) and academic metasearch engines such as (Google Scholar and ResearchGate) the latter yielding results from various sources that should be consulted in depth. In this aspect only articles that evidence a high level of relevance and implementation will be chosen aiming to look for features that generate a broad impact categorizing areas such as Electronics, Internet of Things IoT, Artificial Intelligence AI, Information and Communication Technologies ICT, Software and Hardware. Seeking to determine the most relevant and effective assistive technologies.
