Abstract
This brief extends Halanay inequality to study the finite-time stabilization (FTS) of delayed systems. To overcome rigorous constraints on time delays and achieve a balance between delayed and non-delayed terms, novel generalized Halanay-type inequalities are established for FTS of systems with bounded and unbounded time delays, respectively. Besides, decay rate and estimations of the settling time are provided. Additionally, applying the obtained theoretical results, some criteria are derived for FTS of linear time-variant systems.
