Abstract
In this work, we studied and simulated a solar cell based on CIGS/CdS/ZnO. We have optimized the photovoltaic parameters by varying the thickness and the concentration of acceptors and donors of the different canapes of the cell. Simulation calculations have shown that the CIGS/CdS/ZnO based solar cell provides a photovoltaic conversion efficiency (PCE) of 16.20%. The results obtained are in agreement with what was achieved experimentally or theoretically with an equal or lower value, this is due to the different input parameters and to the defects related to the materials used in the simulated structure.
