Abstract
Interleaver is one of the essential building blocks of Linear turbo equalizer. Interleaver unit is a random block which is used to make forward error correction (FEC), hence control errors in linear turbo equalizer. In this paper, we analyze the interleaver types also, a comparative analysis of the principal types of interleaver is done for better bit error rate (BER) performance in linear turbo equalizer using Maximum A-Posteriori (MAP) algorithm. Through the simulation, we have verified that for high SNR, and hence for low bit error (BER), Block interleaver attains better performance than other interleavers for frame size of 1024 bits, and constraint length, K=320, when using puncturing.
