Abstract
Aim of the publication was to show the process of designing, building, and programing a laboratory centrifuge, consisting of an electric motor, a timer, and a speed controller, for educational applications. The another aim of the project was to show the possibility of using information technology in engineering education. The publication describes the issue of programing a laboratory centrifuge that can be equipped with the use of available electronic parts. During the analyses, the rotational speed values that must be assigned to the centrifuge to create platelet-rich fibrins were calculated. The aim of the analyses was to obtain the accuracy of the centrifuge in the intended use for medicine, it was proposed to select an electric motor, timer and speed controller, which could be combined in a student laboratory to obtain the planned results. The publication presents the results and simplified calculations needed to create platelet-rich fibrins.
