Abstract
In this paper, a broadband waveguide slot antenna array is designed and simulated. Common resonant waveguide slot antennas have a narrow bandwidth of about 5%.In this paper, a ridge waveguide and a novel convex waveguide divider are applied to broaden the bandwidth. A 64-element uniform antenna array is designed to constitute phased array radar. With properly design of a ridge, the center-lined slot is exited and desired far field radiation pattern is achieved. The reflection coefficient is less than 10 dB between 31.1 to 39.4 GHz, and the gain is more than 30 dBi.
