Abstract
With the development of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) towards distributed, some new challenges need to be overcome, such as phase synchronization. Microwave photon relay technology is one of the advantageous methods to solve the phase synchronization problem. In this paper, a dual-satellite SAR system using microwave photonic technology to achieve echo analog signal relay is introduced. The influence of pointing error on the third-order spurious-free dynamic range performance of the microwave photonic link is investigated by taking into account the pointing error in the fiber coupling efficiency.
