Abstract
Medical imaging is a keystone in medical diagnostics. A novel educational virtual reality application is presented which teaches basic medical imaging techniques in combination with gross anatomy in a safe, immersive and highly interactive way. We investigated the usability of the application in an exploratory study. The results show good overall usability and suggest that the application is easy to learn, efficient to use and provides an attractive learning environment.
