Abstract
This letter demonstrates high-power analog radio-over-fiber transmission using a 1 km hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber. We have succeeded in achieving high transmission characteristics even at input analog radio-over-fiber signal power exceeding 32 dBm in single- and four-channel transmissions. Owing to the ultra-low nonlinearity of the fiber, superior transmission characteristics have been achieved compared to those of conventional silica-core optical fibers.
