Abstract
This work presents the integration of a RF front-end and baseband receiver components, operating at 75 MHz, into a marker beacon receiver system. A novel RF-IF architecture enhances the receiver RF selectivity to at least 37 dB at 75 MHz ± 10 kHz, and more than 22 dB audio channel isolation. The measured dynamic range without a fail is - 85 dBm to 0 dBm of RF input power. Further, the system employs a μ-processor for improved noise immunity.
