Abstract
Data collection is an essential element for reliability assessment and many utilities throughout the world have established comprehensive procedures for assessing the performance of their electric power systems. Data collection is also a constituent part of quantitative power system reliability assessment which can be used to evaluate performance of power system in the past and to predict the performance of the system in the future. This paper presents the data collection and the analysis of 132 kV transmission lines in Sulaimani-Erbil electrical power system over the past 6 years. The data represent the outages of the transmission lines which consist of scheduled and forced outages. These data were analyzed and statistical indices were calculated for the purpose of reliability evaluation.
