Abstract
This article is a continuation of publications on a new approach to understanding the reliability of software. The new approach is based on the representation of a software system as a non-equilibrium system that interacts with its environment. The environment in this context is an object area that defines the rules for the functioning of a software system. The imbalance between the software system and its subject area is caused by the presence of hidden defects in the program that cause improper functioning. The process of identifying these defects is a transient process in which defects are eliminated, and an equilibrium is established between the software system and its subject area. The article builds an electrical circuit for replacing a software system and calculates the transition process in it. The results of the calculation of the transition process in the equivalent circuit made it possible to explain some phenomena that follow from the theory of nonequilibrium processes, but cannot be explained with its help.
