Abstract
To solve the stability problem of large-scale offshore wind power integration and transmission, this paper proposed a topology of distributed medium voltage DC collection and high voltage DC transmission. The integration topology has three series boosters. The first stage booster is realized through the direct series connection of wind turbine generators, the second stage booster through the medium voltage of Modular Multilevel Direct-current Converter (MMDC), and the third stage booster through the series connection of high voltage side ports of MMDC. The integration method of this topology and its system characteristics are introduced. The topology and typical control strategy of medium voltage MMDC are analyzed, providing support for achieving interconnection of offshore wind power through medium voltage. Electromagnetic transient simulation models are established and simulations are carried out to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the topology.
