Abstract
The real-time monitoring system during train operation generates a large amount of data, which will be transmitted to the intelligent control system by cable. Massive data transmission will bring tremendous challenges to train communication network. In addition, a large amount of data will also take a lot of time to verify and preprocess. In this paper, an improved real-time lossless data compression method is proposed according to the characteristics of data in freight train. This method can realize lossless data compression and is suitable for real-time transmission system. Different from traditional DSP implementation, this paper uses FPGA to implement data compression module in the form of hardware circuit.
