Abstract
In view of the fact that very low frequency(VLF) radio timing in China is still relatively weak and VLF radio timing technology needs a reliable signal detection method, a VLF signal detection method based on correlation peak detection is proposed and validated by using ALPHA signal. By generating the frequencies contained in various systems as local carriers, the correlation peaks are obtained by correlation algorithm with the received signals. The adaptive threshold of the correlation peak judgment is then obtained from the received signal power, and the threshold judgment is performed to complete the correlation peak detection. After correlation peak detection, the signal source and phase difference are judged according to the relative positions of the correlation peaks of each frequency. This correlation peak detection method has the characteristics of low resource consumption and superior noise immunity, and the performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by using computer simulation.
