Abstract
The article introduces the classification of ultra-high voltage switches and elaborates on the structure and advantages of gas insulated metal fully enclosed switchgear. In response to a fault in a 500kV gas insulated metal fully enclosed switchgear, diagnostic tests were conducted on the circuit breaker. Through onsite testing and factory disassembly analysis, the cause of the circuit breaker fault was identified, and corresponding technical and supervisory suggestions were proposed based on the actual operation situation in the network.
