Abstract
The COSTOF2, COmmunication and STOrage Front-end second generation, developed by Ifremer is a smart multisensor marine observation platform designed to suit a wide range of observation systems. It is able to manage the huge variety of sensors used in oceanography and to provide them all the services needed for long term monitoring. It can be deployed onto various observatory infrastructures, both in shallow water and in deep oceans and its flexibility allows installation onto a variety of cabled or non-cabled structures including surface buoys, seafloor nodes and mooring lines.
