Abstract
A dc-dc buck converter controlled by naturally sampled, constant-frequency pulse width modulation in continuous conduction mode gives rise to a great variety of behaviors, depending on the values of the parameters of the circuit. This paper reexamines the buck converter studied by Fossas and Olivar [1996] and analyzes a method of controlling chaos; that is to convert chaotic oscillations into ones with a periodic time dependence.
