Abstract
The development of accurate and reliable personal unobtrusive methods for detecting sleep breathing disorders, which have a huge impact on health and well-being of people, is an up-to-date task of modern sleep medicine. The recent studies proved the possibility of sleep disorders detection by means of bioradars. However, the problem of view dependency of the radar-based sleep monitor performance has not been solved jet. In the present paper, we proposed a two-bioradar system for sleep-disordered breathing detection. The system was validated in a sleep laboratory of Almazov National Medical Research Centre with the participation of 31 volunteers. We achieved accuracy and Cohen’s kappa of 75 and 66% for OSAS severity estimation, respectively. The results might contribute to creating methods for remote unobtrusive detection of sleep breathing disorders.
