Abstract
A torque control law is proposed for floating axis wind turbine (FAWT), which is a new concept of floating wind turbines. The control law consists of the well-known maximum power point tracking control (C p -max control) and maximum friction control. Numerical simulation shows that the control law achieves the maximum power capture under changes in operating conditions.
