In order to promote the construction of rural energy Internet demonstration areas, this paper first proposes three typical application scenarios of rural energy Internet: “Energy Internet + Modern Agriculture”, “Energy Internet + Characteristic Industries”, and “Energy Internet + Centralized Smart Life”; The comprehensive benefit evaluation index system of rural energy Internet is constructed from the four perspectives of energization, low-carbon energy use, energy intelligence and development inclusiveness, and the indicators are screened and optimized. Finally, based on the actual data of rural energy Internet in Shandong Province Empirical analysis, and comparing with the 2025 development goals to find weak links, the results show that there is still a lot of room for improvement in the low-carbon energy use and energy intelligence level of Shandong Rural Energy Internet.
