Abstract
This publication presents the application of information technology engineering tools to simulate an operation of a flow machine rotor. It was shown an assessment of the impact of a fan blade shape on the possibility of forcing to move an airflow in a wind tunnel. The work was focused on the description of issues related to axial fans and their application in wind tunnels. The types, properties and possibilities of using wind tunnels were also discussed. Experimental research on the existing rotor was presented. An analysis of geometric and flow measurements was carried out, and then a computer model of the rotor was created based on previous analysis. The operation of the designed axial fan rotor was simulated in the form of numerical computer analysis.
