Abstract
In numerous locations, hardware switches are utilized to control various equipment like household devices, industrial devices, etc. The use of physical switches has drawbacks, induding the risk of electric shocks from structural damage and the expense of replacement due to wear and tear. The proposed model replaces switches with a virtual environment, and an image processing technique is deployed to collect the visual data to control various devices utilizing electromagnetic relays. In this work, Dynamic Vision Sensor is used as a bioinspired sensor which replaces the physical switch. In essence, electromagnetic relays are utilized for device control. Further, the raspberry controller uses a transmitter and receiver pair to wirelessly communicate data to it, so that it can control devices by activating and deactivating electromagnetic relays. This reduces the need for wiring and hence lowers the cost of wiring. Since the proposed concept is not a physical device, it also prevents the risk of shock whenever the structure is compromised. It is also transportable, and a 2D projector can be utilized to create a virtual environment on any flat surface.
