Abstract
The reiterative super-resolution (RISR) algorithm was developed to perform adaptive direction finding while accounting for model errors from imperfect calibration. Here this approach is extended to incorporate additional model error attributes and a self-calibration formulation is likewise developed that can exploit illuminators of opportunity. Efficacy of the overall method is experimentally demonstrated using open-air measurements from an 8-element uniform linear array (ULA), an ad hoc 4×4 planar array, and a 4-element ULA streamed by an RF-SoC.
