Abstract
Free space optics needs to control the laser beam direction accurately to realize automatic adjustment of the laser optical axis and long-distance communication. We developed programs to control the laser optical axis, and conducted experiments to trace a target trajectory with laser beam by motion control. The experimental system used a beam profiler to measure the change over time in the pointing of the laser beam and evaluate the accuracy. Experiments to control the laser optical axis has proved that the error of this system is within 1 mm.
