Abstract
This paper introduces a method to measure the temperature and distance of moving heat sources simultaneously by a CM-TDLAS technology combining tunable diode laser absorption (TDLAS) spectroscopy and chirp modulation (CM). Firstly, a three-color laser beam is generated by modulating the intensity of the continuous laser. Then the phase signal and intensity signal are obtained by phase-sensitive detection after frequency reduction of a mixer. Finally, the temperature is obtained by the intensity change of the absorption part, and the distance is obtained by using the phase offset of the non-absorption part. This paper also designs a temperature telemetry system to realize the telemetry of fixed temperature. The feasibility and accuracy of the system are verified in the experiment. The system effectively measured the distance and temperature of the temperature-controlled gas cell. This method is expected to be used in remote sensing, chemical sensing, and the measurement of moving heat sources.
