Abstract
With the threat of high-penetration electric vehicles to the stability of traditional power grids increasing, synchronverter technology has received widespread attention due to its flexible grid-connection characteristics. Aiming at the frequency fluctuation problem of electric vehicles connected to the grid, this paper studies an electric vehicle smart charging station system to alleviate the instantaneous frequency impact caused by system power imbalance, and proposes a control strategy to change inertia adaptively so that the frequency dynamic response can be improved. The simulation results demonstrate that the charging station system can ensure the frequency of the grid connection point has a small overshoot and can quickly converge to the rated value in both the power command change and load switching conditions. The control strategy based on synchronverter proposed in this paper can effectively improve the ability of the grid to resist disturbance.
