Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new design of a high-power phased-array antenna system for low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite communication and 5G communications using compound semiconductor power amplifiers such as Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) and Gallium Nitride (GaN) that provides 78 dBm EIRP (Effective Isotropic Radiated Power) and improved power efficiency. The phased-array design offers several benefits such as precise and efficient communication, improved link budget, and high pointing accuracy for LEO satellite communication and high gain and low side lobes for 5G. This proposed design is an ideal solution for both LEO satellite communication and 5G applications where high performance and compactness is required.
