Abstract
Employing OFDM in an O-band silicon micro-ring modulator, this work demonstrates the data rate of >55 Gbps and characterizes the properties of the modulator. Specifically, the dynamic and static modulation characteristics are quite different, and a higher modulation efficiency is achieved with insignificant modulation nonlinearity when using high laser power.
