Abstract
The site of photovoltaic power stations makes a great difference to the investment, benefit and difficulty of the project. This paper presents a site selection method for photovoltaic power stations based on weighted least-square method and threshold normalization. Firstly, the problem of site selection is modeled as a hierarchy containing the decision goal, 3 criteria and 12 subcriteria. The weights of criteria and subcriteria should be calculated with weighted least-square method. Then the indicators of alternative sites should be normalized with threshold normalization method proposed by this paper. The final priority of each alternative sites can be obtained with linear weighting. An example is given to prove the validity of the proposed method.
