Abstract
Any products when we design products for improvements, new design, legacy design or design and developments they need baseline to set a reliability requirement to the products. In the manufacturing industry, they have a number of products in their portfolio. It is important to understand the reliability goalsetting to develop robust or reliable products as a business improvement. Reliability goal setting is a common practice across the industry but how to apply, how to trace within product life cycle and achieve at the end of the product development is the one described in this paper as a new idea and value to the industry. Industry will kick off the product with certain reliability parameters on their product, but it is important to track throughout the life cycle to achieve organizational requirements will benefit to producer and customers. This paper describes step by step approach as an idea to track this. This idea proves that reliability goalsetting is a closed loop in the product development process,
