Abstract
In this work, epoxy/Al 2 O 3 nanocomposites were prepared and subsequently fluorinated by different durations in F 2 /N 2 mixture (F 2 /N 2 = 1/4 V/V) with pressure of 0.5 MPA at 40°C. Nano alumina was treated by the saline coupling agent of γ-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane (KH550) to reduce the aggregation. The chemical bonding was examined by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Surface morphology was identifiedby Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).textbfElectrical property variation induced by fluorination was characterized by dielectric measurement. Experiment results confirmed that the fluorination significantly changes the sample surface morphology and the surface chemical structure. Fluorinated modified particles are more stable and disperse more easily in epoxy resin and have good dielectric performance. The introduction of fluorine atoms is an effective way to reduce the polarizability because their high electro negativity leads to the close bonding of electrons.
