Abstract
Students who get difficulties in writing (dysgraphia) are not able to follow the learning process well. Most of regular teachers could not help these students to learn well. The purpose of this research is to implement an expert system that can diagnose the students with dysgraphia at school by using Forward Chaining. In this system, Forward Chaining is used to identify students with dysgraphia and also their dysgraphia level. Forward chaining is an uphill inference based on facts, searching compatible rules, hypothesis, and results conclusion. This research involved therapist as the expert, teachers and also students with dysgraphia. Knowledge were gathered from experts based on interviews and observations. The Expert system were tested to 19 elementary students from 3rd until 6th grade. The test results showed 97.41% of the result of the system diagnosis has similarities with the results of expert diagnosis.
