Abstract
Wireless surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices are potential gas sensors for use in energy infrastructure monitoring applications. Here, we present on finite element modeling of SAW devices with nanoporous metal-organic frameworks as sensing layers to develop a novel sensor array for simultaneous detection of CO 2 and CH 4 at ambient conditions. The selective detection is realized due to an increase in mass of the sensing layers upon gas adsorption at the engineered porous sensing layers.
