Abstract
This work demonstrates the feasibility of an additively manufactured WR15 waveguide to single-ended microstrip transition for V-band applications. The transition was fabricated employing a desktop polymer digital light prossesing (DLP) printing system and the slotted waveguide approach. Subsequently to the manufacturing process, the specimen was metallized by electroless silver plating and electroplating. Measurements in a back-to-back manner were obtained in the frequency range from 50 to 67 GHz. The measurements result in a reflection coefficient of better than −14 dB and a transmission loss of less than 4 dB incorporating the loss of the microstrip line within the measurement frequency range.
