Abstract
The AN/FSY-3 Space Fence Radar, located on Kwajalein Atoll, is a ground-based S-band radar integrated with an Operations Center designed to greatly enhance the Air Force Space Surveillance Network. Space Fence will revolutionize Space Situational Awareness using advanced phased array radar technology. Space Fence will provide catalog completeness, accuracy and timeliness with vastly improved performance in Low Earth Orbit and capability to support missions in Geosynchronous Earth Orbit. Modeling & Simulation has played a key role in all phases of the Space Fence radar program. In addition, Modeling & Simulation will play an important role in the formal Government testing of requirements that depend on simulated environments or unique orbital events.
