Abstract
A compact extended ultrawideband four element MIMO antenna for indoor and outdoor wireless communication application is proposed. The antenna consists of four half hexagonal shaped monopole antenna elements. To provide polarization diversity and worthy isolation, all the antenna element are positioned orthogonally to one another. In order to verify the simulation results, a prototype of the proposed antenna has been fabricated and measured. The matching bandwidth, isolation, radiation profile, and peak gain of antennas all have been analyzed. Additionally, the analysis of MIMO performance in terms of diversity gain from S-parameter and envelop correlation coefficient (ECC) has been done. The measured impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 140.42% (2.8 GHz to 16 GHz) where measured isolation is more than 15 dB, and ECC is less than 0.05.
