Abstract
Summary from only given. We present, for the first time to our knowledge, observation of in vivo fluorescence of 5-ALA-induced PpIX in 101.8 brain tumours. All the experiments reported have been performed in the conditions close to intraoperative. We conclude that in vivo registration of 5-ALA induced PpIX fluorescence at the time after ALA injection corresponding to maximum tumour-to-host contrast offers a possibility to detect and visualize cerebral glioma 101.8 intraoperatively.
