Abstract
Several novel high voltage transient voltage suppression diode (TVSD) structures are proposed and investigated in this paper. In the proposed structures, some approaches to enhance the surge suppression capability of TVSDs are analyzed and simulation authenticated. The simulation results show that the surge suppression capabilities of the proposed structures are all significantly improved, and the surge suppression capability of the structure named LSTG-TVSD is about 2.06 times of the conventional TVSD.
