Abstract
A common aperture dual band (Ka / Ku) planar antenna array is proposed in this paper. Compared with ordinary antenna array, this array has the advantages of low profile, high integration and small size. The Ku band array is composed of four cross long patch units. The feed network adopts series feed and reverse feed technology, Ku band with the bandwidth of 6.7%. Ka band is composed of sixteen butterfly patch units. The feeding is realized by "H" slot and parallel feeding network, Ka band with the bandwidth of 3%. The design of Ka / Ku band common aperture array has important research significance in the application of ocean going large ship satellite communication and synthetic aperture radar.
