Abstract
In this paper, we describe the implementation of a system for reliable recording and on-demand indexed playback of multimedia conferences using the services provided by RTP (Real-time Transport Protcol) and RTCP (Real-Time Control Protocol) over an intranet. Implementation issues are underlined regarding the file structure used to support random access during playback, the indexing techniques and the database searching capabilities.
