Abstract
The extraction of electrical energy from solar radiation using photovoltaic phenomenon depends not only on the quality of the modules but also on the level of matching to the load. This is an optimization process which needs dynamic, precise and embracing sensing over the system. This paper proposes the design of a smart photovoltaic system following a cyber-physical architectural approach which uses a distributed computational strategy between the Cloud and the IoT node. It is also shown that the latter needs to be designed as a software defined hardware (SDH) to better reflects the need for reconfigurability and flexibility.
