Abstract
In this study, the dependence of the polarimetric differential interferometric phases on soil moisture and biomass variations was inferred empirically with multilinear regression techniques. This was done for a fully polarimetric airborne L-band SAR data set. Neglecting the impact of soil moisture, the linear phase model was inverted to derive fresh biomass maps of the inspected test site showing good agreement with the collected ground measurements.
