Abstract
A set partitioning type modulation utilising polarisation maintaining fibers was developed and tested for modulation frequencies between 1 and 7 GHz. In order to prove the feasibility of construction efficient data transmission link over PM fiber, a set of experiments was performed. Modulation and demodulation of the signal was performed in a circuit based on the standard and low cost components, like optical transceivers.
