Abstract
A two-port printed dipole antennas with shared ground and shared aperture to achieve uniform gain enhancement is presented. The metamaterial structure used is a Double Negative (DNG) complementary modified H-shaped resonator. The two antennas are orthogonal and as electrically close for an isolation of less than 10 dB. The measurements show that the resonator-loaded antenna presents a gain of about 5.2-6.7 dBi in the whole operational band (5-5.4 GHz), which is about 1.8-2.6 dB more than the unloaded one.
