Abstract
In Pakistan, many organizations are rapidly moving towards system/process automation. To achieve highly efficient automated systems, organizations should be very much clear about their need and requirements. Requirements elicitation process involves human interaction of multi-stakeholder with different thinking capabilities which makes it complicated and difficult. A successful product depends on how rightly and efficiently customer requirements are translated into a fully functional product. In this process, technical aspects are given prime attention while a little or no attention is paid to cultural and soft issues which lead to the failure of most of the software projects. This paper analyzes the soft issues being faced during requirement elicitation process in Pakistan.
