Abstract
Nowadays; renewable energy sources like wind and solar energy are considered as the best solutions to substitute the fossil sources due to their big advantages such as: renewability (never finish), safety…etc. However, the cost of such resources stills to be the great inconvenient. Among other countries, Algeria is known to be a wide country with good solar potential which could exploit this energy in some applications; electricity, pumping…etc. So, in order to reduce the last disadvantage (cost), many researches are done using two different ways: • The first one is realized by improving the conversion efficiency based on the study of the material proprieties, • And the second is based on the proposition of optimal designs and appropriates sizing of the overall renewable systems.
